CAIRO – 18 September 2017: The Egyptian bodybuilder Mamdouh Elssibiay, also known as “Big Ramy,” won second place in the most important bodybuilding competition in the world: Mr. Olympia.
Big Ramy was so close to snatching the title away from the American Phil Heath. Mamdouh is not the only Egyptian to participate in this year’s Mr. Olympia. Eslam Elmasry participated as well and won the title of the competition for the under 100kg weight class. Eslam and Big Ramy are considered the first two Egyptians to represent their country in the biggest bodybuilding competition.
Heath won first place and the Arnold Classic bodybuilding competition title, which was hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the presence of the famous American actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
This is Heath’s seventh consecutive title, matching that of legendary bodybuilder, actor, and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.
