Zlatan Ibrahimovic with Manchester United
CAIRO – 17 September 2017: Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic revealed he will be back from injury better than ever. He said if it was up to him, he would make his comeback "today."
Zlatan scored 28 goals in all competitions last season with Manchester United. He won three titles with the new manager, Jose Mourinho.
The 35-year-old suffered damaged knee ligaments in April during the Europa League quarter-final match against Anderlecht. He was not expected to sign a new contract with the club this summer at the end of his one-year deal.
However, Ibrahimovic has rejoined Manchester United on a one-year contract with the Swede, though he didn`t start the training with his teammates after undergoing knee surgery in the United States. He is expected to return in the New Year.
"I feel good. I have trained every day since I had my knee operated on, and there is no vacation,” Zlatan told Inside United.
"When I come back to play football on the field, I will be better than before. I am not coming back because I am the one I am, I am coming back to be a better version of the old one,” he stated.
"I feel good and I feel my movements are there. If it was up to me, I would like to play football today, but it doesn't work like that,” he added.
