CAIRO - 16September 2017: Barcelona’s German goalkeeper, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, is ready to play his 100th game defending the Barcelona shirt when Barcelona travels to Madrid to face Getafe at the fourth round of the Spanish League.
Ter Stegen joined Barcelona in 2014 from the German club Borussia Mönchengladbach. He has begun establishing himself as the goalkeeping future for Barcelona after the departure of Barcelona’s legendary goalkeeper Victor Valdes.
Ter Stegen was competing with the Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo but Barcelona’s coach decided to start with Claudio Bravo in the Spanish League games and with Ter Stegen in the Spanish Cup and Champions League games.
Claudio Bravo left Barcelona in the summer of 2016 to join Manchester City and since then Ter Stegen became the first choice for Barcelona.
At Barcelona Ter Stegen, 25, won two La Liga titles, three Spanish Cup Titles, 2015 UEFA Champions League titles and the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup championship.
