Khatib officially announces his candidacy for Ahly presidency

CAIRO – 12 September 2017: Mahmoud al-Khatib, Al Ahly's former star and vice president, announced his candidacy for the president of the red castle Al-Ahly in the upcoming elections scheduled for November 2017.

Mahmoud al-Khatib released an official statement in which he announced that he had decided to run for Al-Ahly elections, in accordance with the desire of members to preserve the principles and traditions of the red castle.

The statement came as follows:

A tribute to the members and fans of our glorious club "Al-Ahly".. And in respect and appreciation of the legitimate concerns of members of the club on the values, principles and traditions of "Al-Ahly" entrenched legacy.. And due to a general desire of Al-Ahly fans.. And to put an end to any controversy.. I decided with a number of my colleagues to run for presidency and membership of the board of directors in Al-Ahly elections, which have become mandatory by law and due to be completed before November 30.

The command to God first.. And for members of the club second.. And the most effective management to our beloved club "Al-Ahly"
