7 September 2017: Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema applauded his coach, Zinedine Zidane’s work with Real Madrid that led the club to dominate Spain and Europe.
"I would say that Zidane had a great impact because we've won titles, we are the best team and the titles prove it.” Benzema said to Fichajes.com.
Zidane led Real Madrid to win two Champions League titles in a row in 2016 and 2017 to be the first European team to have such an achievement; he also won the Spanish League title after five years of absence.
Benzema revealed Zidane’s effect on him saying “For me personally, it was all very natural as we've known each other for a long time and he always advises me well.”
Benzema looks to Zidane as an epitome as a player and as a coach, he said “Zidane conveys a lot of confidence and everything he says makes sense, he is an example of success for all, as a football player or coach, it can't just be luck."
