CAIRO – 31 August 2017 – The coaching staff of the football national team has announced the official squad participating in Thursday's match against Uganda in the World Cup qualifiers.
The football national team’s coaching staff headed by the Argentinean coach Hector Cuper has announced the squad list of the players who will represent Egypt in the first leg match against Uganda in the third round of 2018 World Cup qualifiers which will be hosted by Russia.
Before announcing the squad list there was a lot of hesitation among staff members about starting with Amr Gamal , Al-Ahly striker, who was loaned recently to the South African Bidvest Wits; Stoke City left winger, Ramadan Sobhyi, or Mahmoud Abdel Moniem Kahraba, the forward of the Saudi team Al Ittihad, but finally Cuper announced the squad list after settling on starting with Kahraba.
The Starting eleven are:
Goalkeeper: Essam al-Hadary.
Defenders: Mohamed Abdel Shafy, Ahmed Hegazi, Ramy Rabiea and Ahmed Fathy.
Midfielders: Mohamed al- Nenny, Tarek Hamed, Mohamed Salah, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet and Abdallah al-Saeed.
Forwards: Mahmoud Abdel Moniem Kahraba.
