Barcelona signs Dutch wonder kid

Barcelona has completed the signing of 9-year–old Dutch talent Shane Kluivert. The player will play for the La Masia U-11 team.

Shane Kluivert is former Barcelona player Patrick Kluivert’s son. He played for Paris Saint Germain when his father was the French club’s sporting director, but he left the French team to move with his father to Barcelona.

Shane is a well known kid with 148k followers on Instagram and 46k subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Shane signed a contract in July to be sponsored by Nike, as he is expected to follow his family’s great steps in football.

Shane’s father, Patrick Kluivert, is a former Dutch legend who played for big teams in Europe like Ajax Amsterdam, Ac Milan, Barcelona and Newcastle, while Shane’s half- brother, Justin Kluivert is playing for Ajax’s first team.

Patrick Kluivert played six years with Barcelona, where he won one Spanish League title and made a great partnership with Brazilian forward Rivaldo.
