Yarmolenko joins Borussia Dortmund

Cairo – 29 August 2017: Borussia Dortmund signed a 4-year deal with Ukrainian attacking midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko from Dynamo Kiev worth €25 million ($30M).

“Andriy is a player we've tracked for a long time and who stands for top level football, both on club and national team level,” Dortmund Sporting Manager, Michael Zork told reporters.

Yarmolenko, 27-years-old, is expected to be Ousmane Dembele’s replacement after the French player joined Barcelona.

Yarmolenko was very happy to join Dortmund. He said, “I am very thankful that Dinamo Kiev has fulfilled my dream of moving to a top European club. I will work hard in training and help BVB reach its biggest goals. It's always about that."

Yarmolenko is a Dynamo Kiev academy product, he joined the club when he was just 13, and he left the club for family issues before rejoining Dynamo in 2006.

Yarmolenko represented Ukrainian National team at UEFA EURO 2012 and UEFA EURO 2016.
