Ibrahimovic: McGregor is the Ibrahimovic of MMA

CAIRO – 27 August 2017: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Manchester United’s striker, spoke on August 26 about the upcoming boxing fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor on August 27.

Speaking to Sport Bible, Ibrahimovic predicted the outcome of the game along with giving his opinion on both players.

Ibrahimovic said, “Here you have a guy that has made a career out of many years and that is Mayweather. And then you have the other guy Conor who has made a career in a short time, but he made himself a big name,” Goal reported.

Ibrahimovic added, “everything (McGregor) said he did, and in this case, you have the MMA going into boxing. Before, you had the boxer trying MMA and he was outclassed immediately,” reporting from Goal.

Ibrahimovic continued, “as a huge fan of MMA, I see this fight… I don’t know. It can go both ways. Either what people predict that Mayweather will win easy, which I don’t believe,” according to Goal.

Ibrahimovic concluded, "I think it’s a hard fight. Conor has a power he can knock you out from every angle. And he has a confidence, like me. He is the Ibrahimovic of martial arts and I’m McGregor of the football world. So I see him with his confidence. He will win,” Goal reported.

In the early hours of August 27 McGregor will be looking to defeat Mayweather, who has yet to lose in all 49 bouts of his career.
