Klopp: Salah defended 500% more than he did last season

CAIRO – 26 August 2017: Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool’s manager, spoke on August 25 ahead of Liverpool’s third game in the English Premier League (EPL) on August 27.

In the pre-match press conference, Klopp stated his opinion on the recent performance on Liverpool’s winger Mohamed Salah.

Klopp said, “you can see Salah is on the way there. He is not that used to it. Not using the body that much, different player, same speed, but different player. He played a completely different position last season, he was a second striker at Roma,” the Independent reported.

Klopp concluded, “Salah is a winger - he can play this. He has defended 500 percent more already than he did last season, but another player who needs to adapt,” according to the Independent.

Liverpool is set to play against Arsenal on August 27. The “Reds” Liverpool will be hoping for their second victory in this EPL season. Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 and their match with Watford ended 3-3 earlier this month.
