CAIRO – 26 August 2017: Egypt’s national team taekwondo players continue their excellent performances on the third day of the World Taekwondo Cadet Championship, held in Egypt.

Nadine Abdelhady, Egypt’s taekwondo player, qualified to the quarter finals in the 44 kilogram division after beating the South Korean champion with a score of 20-8.

Moreover, Aya Shiha reached the same round in the 55 kilogram division after beating the Russian champion.

Lastly, Adham Hussein went to round 16 in the 45 kilogram division after beating the champion of Morocco with a score of 16-14.

On a similar note, Egypt's Taekwondo players Shahd El Hosseiny and Habiba Ahmed managed to win the first two bronze medals for Egypt in the tournament on August 24.

The tournament has 424 players competing from 57 countries, with 229 men and 195 women competing in the championship.

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, is hosting the third World Taekwondo Cadet Championship from August 24 to 27.
