CAIRO –26 August 2017: Egypt’s national U-23 volleyball team managed to achieve fifth place on Friday at the U-23 Volleyball World Championship. The minister of youth and sports congratulated them on their achievement.
Minister of Youth and Sports Khalid Abdul Aziz praised the performance of the national volleyball team at the U-23 World Volleyball Championship, hosted by Egypt from August 18-25 at the covered halls complex of Cairo International Stadium.
The minister congratulated the players and their technical staff, led by Brazilian Marcos Miranda, for winning fifth place in the tournament, in addition to the players’ outstanding performance, which enabled them to defeat Japan, Mexico, Poland and China in the tournament.
The Egyptian team had won the game against Japan on Friday with four clean sets. The results of the games were 15/9, 15/8, 15/11 and 15/12.
