CAIRO – 25 August 2017: Youssef Mansour, Egyptian Taekwondo player, qualified to round 16 on August 25 in the third World Taekwondo Cadet Championship, being held in Egypt.

Mansour was able to qualify to the next round of the tournament after beating Saudi Arabia player Maged Shakes with a score of 37/5.

On a similar note, Egypt's Taekwondo players Shahd El Hosseiny and Habiba Ahmed managed to win the first two bronze medals for Egypt in the tournament on August 24. While Egyptian Taekwondo player Omar Salem managed to qualify to the quarter finals of the tournament on the same day.

The tournament has 424 players competing from 57 countries, with 229 men and 195 women competing in the championships.

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, is hosting the third World Taekwondo Cadet Championship from August 24 to 27.
