CAIRO – 24 August 2017: Egypt’s national team manager, Hectur Cuper, spoke on August 24 ahead of Egypt’s match against Uganda on August 31 in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Speaking in a press conference; Cuper addressed some of his concerns regarding the upcoming match, and he also talked about Egypt’s preparations for this decisive match.
I am a bit concerned about the arrival of the international players on August 27 and 28. Additionally, there are some of the local players who feel tired either physically, mentally, or psychologically.
Cuper concluded, “I still have not decided the starting lineup for the game because I am still waiting for the arrival of the international players. Moreover, the team is very focused on the next game since it is a tough game. Uganda is a very difficult team that is good in defensive terms along with having a high quality left back.”
Egypt is set to play Uganda twice in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, on August 31 and September 5.
Egypt’s group in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers is as follows: Egypt is in the first place with six points, Uganda is in second place, and Ghana is in the third place with one point, followed by Congo in the last place with zero points.
