Volleyball juniors face the U.S. in the World Championship

CAIRO – 22 August 2017: Egyptian U19 volleyball team faces United States at Bahrain’s U19 Volleyball World Championship which takes place from August 18 - 27.

The under 19-years-old volleyball team, led by Nihad Shehata, will meet the United States in Bahrain on Tuesday August 22 at 5 p.m.

The team lost in the first round to host country Bahrain with a score of 3-1, then won the second round against Puerto Rico also with a score of 3-1, and against Tunisia 3-1 to qualify to the second round in second place of group A.

The 12 junior Pharaohs that travelled to Bahrain to participate in the U19 Volleyball World Championshp are: Yousef Hamdi al-Safi, Ahmed Azab al-Shorbagi, Shahab Azab al-Shorbagi, George Morris Girgis, Abdul Rahman al-Husseini, Yousef Saad al-Din Morgan, Mahmoud al-Sharif Sweilam, Adham Osman, Yousef al-Serjani, Maysara Abu Rayyan, Omar Zakaria and Mohamed Osman.

The U19 team is in group A, which includes Bahrain, the United States, Tunisia and Puerto Rico.
