Pique: It’s the first time I feel inferior to Madrid

CAIRO – 17 August 2017: Gerard Pique, FC Barcelona’s defender, spoke on August 17 following Barcelona’s defeat from Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup.

Pique said “in the nine years I've been [at Barcelona], it's the first time I feel inferior to Madrid,” according to ESPN.

Pique added, "We're not having our best time as a team or a club. We should all be as close to each other as possible and move forward,” ESPN reported.

Pique concluded, "We must live with this defeat and accept that Madrid are better than us [at the moment], but the season's very long and there's room for improvement,” reporting from ESPN.

Real Madrid won the Spanish Super Cup on August 16 after beating FC Barcelona in the first and second leg with the following scores: 3-1 and 2-0.
