World’s most expensive formation costs €755M

CAIRO – 16 August 2017: With the unbelievable prices of the players during this transfer window, Egypt Today decided to look at the most expensive formation of current footballers.

The formation selected has the price of the actual value of the player and not the transfer price of the player.

According to Transfer Markt, the following formation consists of the players with the highest market value:

Goalkeeper: Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) €40 million ($47 million)

Defenders: Daniel Carvjal (Real Madrid) €32 million, Mats Hummels (Bayern Munich) €40 million, Leonardo Bonucci (AC Milan) €45 million, David Alaba (Bayern Munich) €38 million

Midfielders: Paul Pogba (Manchester United) €75 million, Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) €70 million

Attacking players: Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) €120 million, Paolo Dybala (Juventus) €65 million, Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain) €100 million

Striker: Luis Suarez (FC Barcelona) €90 million

Transfer Market placed the Brazilian Neymar instead of Real Madrid’s left winger Cristiano Ronaldo who has the same market value as the Brazilian. However, if Ronaldo is included instead of Dybala (least market value in the attacking players) in the formation, the cost of this lineup will be €755 million ($884 million).
