CAIRO – 15 August 2017: Khalid Essam won the bronze medal of the Triathlon European Championship, held in Belgium on Monday.
Egyptian national triathlon team player Khalid Essam has won the bronze medal in the U23 European Championship with the participation of 70 players from more than 30 countries in the Elite stage.
The bronze medal is considered a great result as the Egyptian is the youngest participant in the tournament, and it is the first participation of Egyptian triathlon in the series of European Championships, also Essam has achieved a new personal record in the cycling competition.
Khaled Essam was the first player to represent Egypt in the triathlon sport at the Youth Olympics 2014.
