Egyptian National team – Egypt Today
CAIRO –10 August 2017 Egypt’s national football team declined by one spot in FIFA’s monthly rankings issued on Thursday, August 10.
The Egyptian national team went from the 24th position to the 25th in this month’s FIFA rankings, according to FIFA’s official website.
Moving on to the overall ranking, Brazil managed to take first place, relegating the Germans to the second position.
According to FIFA’s website, here are the top 10 teams in the overall rankings this month:
1. Brazil
2. Germany
3. Argentina
4. Switzerland
5. Poland
6. Portugal
7. Chile
8. Columbia
9. Belgium
10. France
Spain, Italy and England came in the 11th, 12th and 13th place respectively.
As far as the African rankings, the following teams are the top 10 teams in Africa for this month:
1. Egypt (25th overall position)
2. Congo, Democratic Republic (28th position)
3. Senegal (31th position)
4. Tunisia (34th position)
5. Cameroon (35th position)
6. Nigeria (38th position)
7. Burkinaso Faso (47th position)
8. Algeria (48th position)
9. Ghana (50th position)
10. Ivory Coast (54th position)
It is good to mention that Egypt is set to play Uganda two times in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers on August 31 and September 5.
