Perez: I wouldn’t sell Cristiano if they paid his weight in gold

CAIRO – 9 August 2017: Real Madrid President Florentino Perez spoke on August 8 about the possibility of selling Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

It had been reported on July 31 that Cristiano Ronaldo revealed during his court hearings for tax evasion earlier this month that he would like to return to England, as reported by Sky Sports.

On Tuesday, Real Madrid’s president spoke to La Gazzetta Dello Sport about the possibility of selling the Real Madrid icon. His comments came after the reports about Ronaldo departing from the club.

Perez told La Gazzetta Dello Sport, “Sell Cristiano? Never. I wouldn’t sell Cristiano if they paid his weight in gold. Only the great players bring in great fees,” Goal reported.
Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid win the Champions League for two consecutive seasons. He also helped contribute in their success of being crowned Spanish League Champions last season.
