CAIRO – 8 August 2017 – Egyptian swimmer Farida Othman starts her participation in Energy for Swim on Tuesday, which takes place in Rome, Italy on August 8 and 9.
Farida Othman took a small rest in the seven days after the FINA World Championship in Budapest, Hungary, and then flew to Italy to participate in the charity Energy for Swim event, which will bring the national teams of the U.S., Australia, Italy and the Energy Standard International Swimming Club. The event will be held at the swimming stadium of Foro Italico.
The Egyptian champion will swim on Tuesday in the 400-meter freestyle and the 50-meter freestyle competitions, as well as the 50-meter butterfly competition on Wednesday.
Farida won the bronze medal on July 29 in the FINA World Championship that took place in the Hungarian capital Budapest. It was the first medal for Egypt in the history of the championship.
