I didn’t move to Paris Saint Germain for the money: Neymar

CAIRO – 4 August 2017:French club Paris Saint Germian introduced Brazilian Neymar Da Silva on Friday, August 4 at a press conference for the media at the French Parc des Princes stadium.

“I moved to Paris Saint Germian for a new challenge. It wasn’t about feeling more of a star at Barcelona; it’s not about being a protagonist. It’s the time for some change. I didn’t come to PSG looking for fame and money; it’s about a new feeling and a new challenge and different titles. My motivation is to win trophies; it’s the right time to do that,” Neymar said at the press conference.

Neymar added, “It’s been the most difficult decision of my life. I had a great time at Barcelona with fantastic players. I was in a tense moment, but life in football is very fast. I was looking for a new challenge, something different.”

When he got a question about whether money was his only motivating factor, the Brazilian said, “I didn’t leave Barcelona for money; these are people who don’t know my life. I am never motivated by money.”

“I want happiness for myself and my family. I follow my heart, not the path of money. I am sorry for people who think this way about me. I am here to fulfill my potential.”
