CAIRO – 31 July 2017: The winner of the bronze medal for the 50 meter butterfly race at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, Egyptian Farida Osman, expressed her joy after her great accomplishment in statements to Al Mehwar TV Channel Sunday. Osman talked about her feelings after finishing third in the race and her next goal.

“I didn’t believe myself and I was crying a lot as a result of my excessive happiness,” she said. “My goal from the beginning was to achieve this. I looked on the board of the results many times because I didn’t believe that I accomplished it.”

The 22-year-old continued, “Tokyo 2020 is my next and biggest target. I hope with God’s will that I would make all Egyptians proud by receiving a medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. I will do my best to accomplish that dream.”
