Djokovic retired from Wimbledon after elbow injury- Reuters
CAIRO – 27 July 2017: Novak Djokovic, Serbian Tennis player, announced on Wednesday that he will not compete in the remaining competitions in the season due to injury.
“I will take this time to heal and do all the different suggested methods of rehabilitation and healing, so I can get back on the court as soon as possible,” Djokovic statement said.
Djokovic added “It will take a couple of months at least without a racket and I hope after that I can start to train. I am looking forward to building my body and my game and my team.”
Djokovic retired from Wimbledon quarter finals game against Tomas Berdych.
Djokovic wanted to cheer his fans after injury news, he said “I am happy to share that Andre Agassi is committed to stay with me next year. I want to thank Andre for being with me this year and sharing his experience and wisdom and I am looking forward to getting back on the practice courts with him and having him in the box for any big tournaments.”
Andre Agassi, former No.1, coached Djokovic since May 21, 2017.
