Al Ahly lost their first match in the group – Egypt Today
CAIRO - 25 July 2017: Al-Ahly faces Emirati side, Al-Wahda on Tuesday night in their second match in Arab Club Championship at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo.
Both teams lost their opening matches in the tournament, Al-Ahly lost to Al-Faisaly 1-0 and Al-Wahda lost to NA Hussein-Dey 2-0, this match is the two teams' only hope to keep their chances to qualify to the second round.
Al-Ahly announced their squad in the match without Al-Ahly Captain Emad Motaeb who got punished by Al-Ahly board after he refused to do warm up against Al-Faisaly.
NA Hussein-Dey shares the top place in the group with Al-Faisaly with three points each and Al-Ahly and Al-Wahda in the bottom with no points.
On the other hand, Al-Faisaly faces NA Hussein-Dey, both teams hope to win to take one step closer towards the second round qualification.
Egypt hosts Arab Club Championship from July 22 to August 5 in Cairo and Alexandria, 12 Arab clubs are competing to win the title.
