The pharaohs earned the title of the 2024 African Rowing Championships (Classic) after winning 22 various medals, 13 gold, 7 silver and 2 bronze, while Tunisia came in second place with a total of 17 various medals, 8 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze. Algeria took the third berth with a total of 18 various medals, including a gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze.

In the beach rowing competitions, Egypt won 7 various medals, 3 gold and 4 silver to earn the second place, while Tunisia came in first place with 6 golds and 2 silvers, and Algeria was third with 2 silver medals and 3 bronze.

Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Côte d'Ivoire, Uganda, and Sudan took part in the classic rowing races, whereas the beach rowing competitions saw the participation of Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, South Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, Zimbabwe, Benin and Uganda.
