CAIRO, 29 September 2024: Zamalek's coffers are set to receive a huge financial boost after securing their fifth CAF Super Cup title, defeating Al Ahly in a thrilling match at Kingdom Arena, Saudi Arabia. The White Knights won 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time.
Zamalek will collect $500,000 from CAF as the Super Cup champions, while Al Ahly, the runners-up, will receive $250,000. Additionally, Riyadh Season has awarded Zamalek a generous prize of $1.5 million, with instructions from Turki Al-Sheikh to grant this reward as recognition for their efforts.
The Zamalek board, led by Hussein Labib, expressed their gratitude to Turki Al-Sheikh for his gesture, emphasizing the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
