CAIRO, September 1, 2024: The inaugural "Sports Media Forum" is scheduled to take place on September 8-9 in Cairo, themed "Professional Sports Media." This forum is a collaborative effort between the United Sports Company, the "Egypt Media Forum," and Thirty Degree North Company, with support from the British Football Writers' Association.
As the first event of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East, the forum aims to address the challenges facing sports media and explore professional strategies to overcome these obstacles through a series of interactive sessions and workshops.
These sessions will be led by prominent British journalists and media experts, including the renowned sports journalist Paul McCarthy, Chairman of the British Football Writers' Association.
Paul McCarthy will conduct a workshop titled "Taking Personal Responsibility," while Tony Pastor, CEO of "Goalhanger Podcasts," will lead a session on "The Power of Podcasts." Jeff Shreeves, a celebrated correspondent for "Sky Sports," will offer insights in his workshop "The Art of the Interview." Additionally, Jerry Cox, CEO of "Hayters" Sports Agency, will host a workshop on "Be Diverse, Be Multimedia."
Joel Beya, Founder and CEO of "Cheeky Sport," will present a session on "Managing the Social Media Monster," and Alison Bender, a TV presenter and correspondent for several international sports networks, will deliver a workshop titled "Be Your Best Brand."
From the Egyptian side, the forum will also feature workshops by distinguished figures in Egyptian sports media, including the esteemed journalist and media personality Hassan Al-Mustakawi and sports critic Fathi Sand.
