CAIRO – 24 July 2017: The swimming competition at the FINA World Aquatics Championships, held in Hungary, started on Sunday with the participation of our national players.
The swimming competition will last for a week, the Egyptian players achieved good numbers on the first day of the championship, which came as follows:
Two new Egyptian records where achieved on Sunday as:
- Marwan Al Qammash won ninth place for 400 meters freestyle with a new Egyptian record 3:46.36 minutes.
- Egypt team occupied the fifteenth place in the 100 meters relay with a new Egyptian record 3:18.23 minutes.
- Faridah Osman came 17th place in the 100 meter butterfly with a time of 58:67 seconds.
- Hania Moro finished 28th in the 400m freestyle with a time of 4:21:67 minutes.
- Youssef Al Qammash occupied the thirty-third position of the 100m breaststroke with 1:01.81 minutes.
- Omar Issa occupied the 35th position of the 50 meters race with a time of 24.43 seconds.
