President Sisi congratulates Egyptian athletes on triumphs at 2024 Paris Olympics

CAIRO – 10 August 2024: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has extended his congratulations to the Egyptian champions at the 2024 Paris Olympics, commending them for elevating Egypt's name on the global stage

In a post on X on Saturday, the president lauded the top achievers, namely Ahmed El-Gendy, who clinched the gold medal in modern pentathlon; Sara Samir, who secured the silver medal in weightlifting; and Mohamed El-Sayed, who attained the bronze medal in fencing.

“This new accomplishment contributes to the achievements of this generation, underscoring the determination, perseverance, and strength of will of the youth of Egypt,” Sisi wrote.

He hailed their accomplishments as “a source of pride for our beloved nation.”
