The Cairo derby is back with another mouth-watering final as the two giants of Egyptian football, Al Ahly and Zamalek, clash in the Egyptian Cup Final on Friday night.

For the first time in the history of the oldest cup in the region, the final will be staged abroad as Al Awaal park stadium in Riyadh hosts the match.

Everything around the final suggests that we are set to witness another unforgettable night.

Al Ahly, the defending champions, returns to Saudi Arabia less than three months of their historic participation in the FIFA Club World Cup when the Red Devils won the bronze medal, defeating the hosts, Ittihad Jeddah and Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds.

"It will be a tough game against a strong opponent. We will leave everything on the pitch to win the title. We will have our fans in the stands, which will give us extra motivation to win." Marcel Koller, Al Ahly manager, stated.

Koller has a perfect record in the Cairo derby with three out of three wins over Zamalek.

On the other hand, the White Knights enter the game rejuvenated, having welcomed a new manager and some top players to their roster in the winter market, including two former Al Ahly stars, Abdullah El Said and Nasser Maher.

"We are ready for the final. We are a big club and we know how to win big games. It will be a tactical match from both sides. I hope to achieve my first trophy with the team on Friday night." Jose Gomes, Zamalek manager, stated.

Emam Ashour, Al Ahly's biggest star this season, will meet his former club for the first time since switching to the red side of Cairo just six months after departing Zamalek.

The game starts at 7:30 PM.
