Real Madrid participation in FIFA Club World Cup may postpone the first Clasico- Reuters
CAIRO - 21 July 2017: Real Madrid, current Spanish champion, will travel to A Coruna on August 20 to face their team Deportivo La Coruna at Rizaor Stadium in their opening match in the new season.
Barcelona will open their matches against Real Betis in Camp No while Valencia will play against Las Palmas in Valencia.
The first Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be played on December 20 in Madrid, Real Madrid will participate in FIFA Club World Cup in Japan as 2017 UEFA Champions League champion so if they reached the final the match may be postponed as El Classico will be only four days after FIFA Club World Cup final, the second Clasico will be played in Barcelona only 3 fixtures before the end of the season.
Atletico Madrid and Villareal have to play their first two matches in the league away from home as their stadiums are not ready to host matches.
The Spanish League will end on May 6 to give the opportunity to players to go to their national teams to prepare for 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
