Egyptians seek glory in Fencing World Cup

CAIRO – 21 July 2017: Three members of the Egyptian fencing team managed to advance to the next round of the Fencing World Cup held in Germany.

Mahmoud Mohsen, Ahmed El Saghier and Sherif Fayez qualified to round 32 in the fencing tournament on July 19.

Mohsen qualified to round 32 after beating a fencer from Kuwait and a fencer from Finland. He is expected to go head to head with a fencer from Italy in the next round. Ahmed El Saghier managed to qualify to round 32 after beating a fencer from Poland. AndSherif Fayez qualified after beating a fencer from Finland.

Egypt is participating in the Fencing World Cup with the following players:AlaaAbouElkassem,MohamedEssam, Youssef Sanaa, Yara El Sharkawy, Ayman Fayez, Sherif Fayez, Mahmoud Hassan and Ahmed El Saghier.
