CAIRO, November 14, 2023: The Egyptian professional players, led by Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Elneny, and Omar Marmoush, have joined the striking force of the first Egyptian national team, under the direction of Roy Vitoria, for Tuesday group training.
The Pharaohs will face Djibouti on Thursday to begin their journey toward the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
In advance of the Pharaohs' first match in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Djibouti in Cairo on Thursday, the first Egyptian national team's camp opened on Monday.
After then, the delegation will travel to Liberia on November 17 morning to face Sierra Leone in their second match.
The World Cup qualifications will see the Egyptian national team play two games against the national teams of Djibouti and Sierra Leone, on November 16 and 19.
The Egyptian national team list included:
Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shenawy - Mohamed Sobhi - Ahmed El-Shenawy.
Defenders: Mohamed Hani - Omar Kamal - Ali Gabr - Mohamed Abdel Moneim - Ahmed Sami - Rami Rabiaa - Mohamed Hamdy - Ahmed Fattouh.
Midfielders: Tareq Hamed - Marwan Attia - Mohamed Elneny - Emam Ashour - Ahmed Sayed Zizo - Mahmoud Hamada - Hamdi Fathi.
Attackers: Mohamed Salah - Mustafa Fathi - Mustafa Mohamed - Mohamed Sharif - Mahmoud Trezeguet - Omar Marmoush - Hussein El Shahat.
The draw resulted in the Egyptian team being placed in the first group of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, along with Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, in addition to the Djibouti national team.
