CAIRO – 19 July 2017: The Egyptian Hockey team is set to play in the quarterfinals of the Hockey World League held in South Africa on Wednesday.
The Egyptians will meet the Australian National team in the quarterfinals of the tournament after managing to qualify from the group stages.
Egypt managed to qualify for the quarterfinals for the first time in their history of the tournament. The Pharaohs managed to beat South Africa 2-1 after loosing their first three matches in the group stages against Germany, Ireland and Belgium.
The Egyptian hockey team’s squad is as follows: Ahmed Ezz, Amr Said, Ahmed Abdel Hakim, Amr Ibrahim, Mahmoud Abo Taleb, Karim Atef, Mostafa, Mansour, Mohamed Saber, Mohamed Gad, Mohamed Rageb, Ahmed Gamal, Ashraf Saied, Ahmed Mohsen, Mohamed Nasser, Wael Nour El Din, Ahmed El Ganiany, Hossam Gabran and Ahmed Adel.
