Al Ahly basketball team defeated Stade Malien 78-73 in an electric night at Kigali arena to book their place in the 2023 BAL Final.
The Red Eagles became the second Egyptian team to feature in the competition's final after Zamalek who won the title in 2021, guided by Al Ahly's current Spanish manager Agusti Bosch.
Bosch has an opportunity to be the first manager in the history to win the title twice when Al Ahly take on AS Douanes of Senegal on Saturday.
Ehab Amin, Al Ahly's player, put on a show to remember against the Malian team and led his team to the final with 21 points.
"It was a tough one. We are just happy with the win. We need to do a better a job closing out the game. We’ll be ready to go Saturday.” Amin stated after the game.
The Red Eagles hope to return to Cairo with the title and complete their historic season as they have already celebrated the domestic double at home.
