Al Ahly will face Esperance on Friday night at Cairo Stadium in the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final.
The Red Eagles are going into the game with a huge advantage after defeating the Tunisian side last week in Rades 3-0.
Everything is possible in football but the facts are giving the Cairo giants a massive edge before the match as no team managed to defeat Al Ahly at home in the competition this season.
Also, Esperance, one of the most successful teams in the competition's history, are suffering from the absence of many key players like their goalkeeper Moez Ben Cherifia and their outstanding winger Hamdou Elhouni.
Marcel Koller, Al Ahly coach, does not agree with all that have been said about Al Ahly already booking a place in the final, saying " Remontada in football is becoming very common in the recent years. It is a very important and difficult match against a strong team. We won the first half in Tunisia but we have to fight to book our place in the final."
Al Ahly will lose their starting goalkeeper, Mohamed El Shenawy, for injury and his backup goalkeeper Ali Lotfy is expected to start on Friday.
The game starts at 10:00 PM (Cairo Time).
