CAIRO, 14 May 2023: Ismaili SC achieved a 2-1 victory over Zamalek in the match that brought them together, on Saturday evening, at Ismailia Stadium, during the 27th round of the Egyptian league championship.
Ismaili's goals were scored by Yao Anwar in the 20th minute, and Zamalek's Mohamed Ashraf Rouqa by mistake in the 57th minute. While Zamalek's only goal was scored by Ibrahima Nday in the 38th minute.
With this result, Ismaili’s balance rises to 29 points and continues in 14th place, while Zamalek’s balance is frozen at 43 points and continues in fourth place in the league table.
This is the first win for Ismaili over Zamalek since April 2nd, 2018. The last 10 matches, El Daraweesh failed to achieve a victory over the white knights.
