CAIRO –18 July 2017: Zamalek player Mostafa Fathy will leave Cairo on Tuesday morning to start his career with Saudi club Al-Taawon FC for one season on loan for $1.4 million.

Fathy had postponed his travel because of the Zamalek game against Al-Ahly scheduled for Monday evening at the Borg El Arab Stadium, in the final round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Zamalek closed the deal of Fathy with Al-Taawon FC officially, on loan for one season for $1.4 million, with an item in the contract giving the right to the Saudi club to buy Fathy in a free transfer with a financial value of $3.6 million after the end of the loan, while Zamalek officials put an item in the contract saying that if Al-Taawon activated the item of buying the player, then decided to sell him to another country, Zamalek will receive 10 percent of the deal.
