CAIRO, 2 April 2022: Al Ahly team advanced to the quarter finals of the African Champions League, after it achieved a great 3-0 victory over Al-Hilal of Sudan, during the match that brought them together this evening, Saturday, at Cairo Stadium, at the end of the group stage of the Champions League.
Al-Ahly scored the first goal in the 25th minute hat-trick through Kahraba. The second and third goal were scored by Hussein Al-Shahat in the 64th and 81st minute.
Al-Ahly raised their tally to 10 points, which is the same as Al-Hilal’s, but the Egyptian champion qualifies by difference in goals and direct confrontations after they finished second in the group behind Sundowns of South Africa, who previously qualified.
Al-Ahly’s formation for the match included: Mohamed Al-Shennawi, Mohamed Hani, Mohamed Abdel-Moneim, Ramy Rabia, Ali Maaloul, Amr Al-Soleya, Marwan Attia, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Ahmed Abdel-Kader, Percy Tau and Mahmoud Kahraba.
While Al-Hilal formation: Issa Fofana, Emuru Ibrahim, Muhammad Ahmed Arnq, Osmani Diouf, Athar Al-Taher, Wali Al-Din Khader, Abu Aqila Abdullah, Fabrice Nujoma, Yasser Muzammil, Muhammad Abdul Rahman and Lilibo Makabi.
