Zamalek defeat Tunis Esperance 3-1 in the CAF Champions League

CAIRO, 8 March 2023: Zamalek achieved an important 3-1 victory over the Tunisian Esperance Club, in the match that brought them together on Tuesday evening at the “Burg Al Arab” stadium, in the fourth round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
 
With this result, Tunis Esperance remains at the top of the group with 9 points, and Algerian club, Belouizdad, comes in second place with 6 points, Zamalek in third place with 4 points, and Sudanese Al Mareekh in fourth place with the same number of points.
 
Zamalek took the lead through Seif Farouk Gaafar in the 9th minute. Seif El Geziri won a penalty in the 25th minute to double the score through Zizo who scored it perfectly.
 
Tunis Esperance scored their only goal through Ben Ayaad in the 56th minute.
 
Before the end of the game, Seif El Geziri scored the third goal in the 91 minute by a beautiful header after a cross from Ahmed Mostafa 'Zizo'.
