Egyptian Super Cup: Starting line-ups announced

CAIRO - 28 October 2022: Al Ahly and Zamalek coaches announced their starting Line-up for the Egyptian Super Cup match, which will be played on Friday night at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain. 

Around 25k fans will pack the stadium in Al Ain to watch their beloved teams fighting for the precious title. 

Al Ahly's starting line-up: Mohamed El Shenawy, Akram Tawfik, Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Mahmoud Metwally, Hamdy Fathy, Amr El Soulia, Taher Mohamed Taher, Ahmed Abdelkader, Bruno Savio and Shady Hussein. 

Zamalek's starting line-up: Mohamed Awwad, Hamza Mathlouthi, Hossam Abdelmegid, Mohamed Abdelghany, Ahmed Fattouh, Omar Gaber, Imam Ashour, Zakaria El Wardy, Mohamed Ashraf (Roka), Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Seifeddine Jaziri. 

Al Ahly's manager Marcel Koller plays his first Cairo derby against a veteran coach on the other bench, Jesualdo Ferreira, who led the White Knights to victory over their arch-rivals last July in the Egyptian Cup final. 

The two giants of Cairo met in the domestic Super Cup final on seven previous occasions, with the Red Eagles lifting the cup five times after beating their rivals. 

The match starts at 7:00 PM (Cairo Time).
