Mohamed Ihab – Egypt Today
CAIRO – 16 July 2017: Egyptian weightlifting champion Mohamed Ihab managed to win 3 gold medals in the African Championship for Weightlifting that is held in Mauritius.
Mohamed Ihab managed to lift a total of 348 kilograms, with 158 kilograms in snatch and 190 kilograms in the clean phase.
Mohamed Ihab, who is 27 years old, did an outstanding performance in the last Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, winning the bronze medal in weightlifting. Ihab came in third after Nijat Rahimov from Kazakhstan and Lu Xiaojun from China in the 77kg men’s weightlifting. He also won two bronze medals in the World Championships in 2015 in the United States.
Egypt participates in this tournament with the following players: Mohamed Ihab, Rageb Abelhay, Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Shaima Khalef and Donia Barakat.
