CAIRO, 29 June 2022: A short while ago, Ricardo Soares, the expected new coach of Al-Ahly, arrived at Cairo Airport, in preparation for a meeting with officials of the Red Castle to sign his contracts.
Al Ahly's board of director to announce his official appointing at a press conference to be held on Thursday, at Al-Ahly headquarters.
It is certain that Al-Ahly’s new technical coaching staff will include Portuguese Ricardo Soares as a coach, Mauricio Vas as assistant coach, Paolo Lobo, goalkeeper coach, Raul Faria as a performance analyst and Pedro Guimaraes as a fitness coach.
It is confirmed that Sami Komsan will continue within the new coach’s technical coaching staff, with Sayed Abdel Hafeez as director of the football, in addition to the continuation of the medical team headed by Dr. Ahmed Abu Abla, and the administrative team headed by Samir Adly.
Al-Ahly club ended the agreement with Portuguese coach Ricardo Soares during the past two days to take over the team's training for the next two seasons, succeeding South African Pitso Mosimane, who recently terminated his contract with Al-Ahly by mutual consent.
The Portuguese newspaper “Abola” revealed that Gil Vincenti ended all his associations with Ricardo Soares, coach of the team, after Al-Ahly officially ended the agreement with the Portuguese for two years, starting from the new season.
Al-Ahly is preparing for the Smouha match at half past nine in the evening, Wednesday, in the Alexandria Premier League.
