EFA honors Mohamed Salah after his brilliant season with Liverpool

CAIRO, 6 June 2022: The Egyptian Football Association, headed by Gamal Allam, was keen to honor Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star and Egyptian national team, before the start of the Egypt-Guinea match.
 
Egypt's national team achieved an important 1-0 victory over Guinea scored by Mostafa Mohamed in the 85th minute of the match that brought the two teams together in the first round of qualifiers for the 2023 African Nations Cup in Cote d'Ivoire, which was held at Cairo Stadium.
 
EFA officials handed Mohamed Salah a special present in appreciation of his efforts during this season with our national team and club Liverpool, with the phrase “We are always proud of you” written in English.
 
 
Mohamed Salah scored 16 goals and assisted 6 others during the 21 matches he played in the qualifiers, at an average of 1865 minutes, to be the team's top scorer throughout history in the qualifiers.
 
Hossam Hassan, Egypt's former top scorer, comes second with 12 goals, followed by Ahmed El Kass with 9 goals, and Ahmed Hassan with 7 goals.
 
With Liverpool, Salah scored 23 goals in the Premier League to win the English Premier League Golden boot, same as Tottenham's South Korean star Heung-Min Son.
