CAIRO - 3 June 2022: Mohamed Salah, Egypt national team captain, participated in the national team's training on Thursday night as The Pharaohs continued their preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Salah returned to Cairo on Wednesday night and joined his teammates who have been training for the first time under the new coach, Ihab Galal.
Galal will start his mission on Sunday at home against Guinea and he hopes for a strong start before heading to Malawi to face Ethiopia on 9 June.
Egypt plays in Group D of the qualifiers alongside Guinea, Ethiopia and Malawi.
The national team players had a fitness training on Thursday night with the participation of all the available players.
Mohamed El Shenawy missed the training as he tested positive for COVID-19.
