CAIRO, 30 May 2022: Al-Ahly team will enter, at 09:00 PM Cairo Time on Monday, its most important matches this season when they visit Wydad Morocco at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca in the final of the African Champions League.

The Reds are looking for an outstanding achievement, which is the crowning of the African Champions League 3 times in a row, after winning the title in the 2020 editions over Zamalek, and in 2021 against the South African Kaizer Chiefs.

The final is the second between Al-Ahly and Wydad after the 2017 edition, which the Moroccan champions won, while the Reds seek to keep the title for the third consecutive season.

Al-Ahly and Wydad match will be managed by South African referees, Victor Gomez, as referee, and assisted by Zakhil Those Siwaila, Soro Batswana and Helder Martinez. While the video referee will be Malak Tesema and assisted by Mohamed Abdullah and Haitham Kirat.

South African Pitso Mosimane, Al-Ahly coach, aspires to be the first foreign coach in the history of the Red Castle, who leads the team to win the African Champions League three times in a row, and is also looking for an individual achievement because he will achieve the title for the fourth time in his career, which is a unique number for the South African coach. .

Al-Ahly absence list from tonight's match will be Akram Tawfiq, Ammar Hamdi, Badr Banon, Michisoni and Mohamed Abdel Moneim due to injury. While Musimani is armed with his big stars, Mohamed El-Shennawy, Percy Tao, Dieng, Afsha and Mohamed Sherif to win the title.

On the other hand, Walid Regragui, coach of Moroccan Wydad, seeks to repeat the achievement of Al-Hussein Amota with the Moroccan champion, when he became the first Moroccan coach to win the title, and this came at the expense of Al-Ahly also in 2017.

Moroccan football scored 6 titles in the African Champions League, won by only 3 clubs, "Al Jaish, Raja and Wydad", and Wydad Casablanca is looking for its third crown after winning the title in the 1992 and 2017 editions.

Walid Rekraki said about Al-Ahly’s confrontation in the African final, “I told the players that we want to win the title, and it does not matter what form the performance is, history will mention Cup winners only.
