Vitolo will return to his childhood club Las Palmas – Marca.com
CAIRO – 13 July 2017: Atletico Madrid signed Spaniard winger Víctor Machín Pérez known as Vitolo from Sevilla on Wednesday after paying Vitolo’s release fee of $42.5 million.
Atletico Madrid also loaned Vitolo to Las Palmas till January because of Atletico’s ban on signing new players until January.
“The midfielder, winner of three UEFA Europa Leagues in 2014, 2015 and 2016, will contribute quality and speed to our midfield. Used to start at the side, the Spanish international will add forward passes and direct play to our attack. He adds to his ability to assist and reach the box to score, a work capacity that will be very valuable for the balance of the team,” read the official Atletico Madrid statement.
Atletico loaned Vitolo to Las Palmas for many reasons. Vitolo started his career at Las Palmas, and he won’t participate with them in Europe, so he will be available to play with Atletico in Europe after January.
Vitolo, 27 years old, played 25 games with Sevilla last season, scoring 6 goals for the Andalusian club.
