CAIRO – 12 July 2017: French football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced the signing of Brazilian right back Dani Alves on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old right back came close to signing with Manchester City before instead joining European giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Dani said during Wednesday’s press conference, “if Guardiola and Manchester City feel any disrespect, I apologize to them because I went to PSG to become a champion.” The player’s statements were streamed live on PSG’s Facebook page.

According to Sky Sports, Paris Saint-German agreed on a deal with the right back to play for the French club in the next two years.

According to Goal, Paris Saint-Germain won the race to sign Dani Alves. PSG offered him an exorbitant amount of money which amounts to £230,000 per week.

Dani Alves managed to help Juventus FC reach the Champions League final before losing to Real Madrid 3-1. He also contributed in the Italian’s team success this season by winning the Seria A and the Tim Cup.
