Inacio tells players he’s staying with Zamalek

CAIRO – 11 July 2017: Zamalek coach Augusto Inacio informed the team Tuesday that he will not resign and will continue coaching the team in its upcoming matches.

According to Yallakora, Inacio told the players that he will stay and is not thinking about leaving the team at the moment. He added that he sat with Zamalek’s board and agreed to stay with the team.

Zamalek’s football team encountered a difficult situation in the past few weeks after being knocked out of the CAF Champions League and losing the league title to rivals Al Ahly. Since then, discussions arose about whether or not Inacio will stay or resign.

Zamalek will go head to head with Tala’ea El-Gaish SC on Thursday in the quarter finals of the Egyptian Cup.
